Sodium fumarate

Sodium N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamate, also known as sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate, is used as a terminating agent for emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber and styrene-butadiene latex, an industrial fungicide, a metal precipitant, a vulcanization accelerator for rubber products, and an agricultural insecticide. It serves as an intermediate in the production of fungicides such as thiram, ferbam, ammonium dithiocarbamate, zinc dithiocarbamate, and nickel dithiocarbamate.

  • Product description
  • Molecular formula: C3H6NNaS2
    Molecular weight: 143.2062
    Storage conditions: 0-6°C
Pure sodium fumarate appears as flaky white crystals that are highly soluble in water. Crystals obtained by crystallization from aqueous solutions contain 2.5 molecules of water of crystallization. When heated to 115°C, these crystals lose two molecules of water of crystallization; at 130°C, they completely lose all water of crystallization. The industrial intermediate is a 15% aqueous solution, appearing as a slightly yellowish or grass-green, transparent liquid with a relative density of 1.06 and a pH ranging from 9 to 11. Sodium fumarate can also be used as a soil disinfectant.
